Memorial Day in the United States is the last Monday in May. It is a federal holiday honouring US service members who died in military service, and the unofficial start of summer in much of the country. This page lists the date for every year from 2025 through 2045, with the long-weekend window and a link to each year's May calendar.

The rule

Memorial Day was moved to the last Monday in May by the Uniform Monday Holiday Act of 1968, which took effect in 1971. Before that, it had been observed on May 30 every year. The current rule produces a date between May 25 and May 31 — five years out of every seven, the holiday falls on May 25, 26, 27, 28, or 29; in years where May 1 is a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, it shifts to May 30 or 31.
